In the heart of the Food Valley there is a medieval court immersed in nature, its name is Tenuta Santo Stefano; it is an oasis of tranquility, a perfect balance between the peaceful atmosphere of the Emilian countryside and the comfort of a Hotel where to live a true relaxing and fun experience, amids sport and art, pool-diving and great cuisine.
The origin of the Tenuta is lost in the mists of time. We must go back as far as 1180, when the residence was constructed under the name Commenda del Sacro Militare Ordine dei Cavalieri di Santo Stefano. Three centuries later, in 1470, it was transformed into a convent. It remained so until the fist decade of the 18th century, when it was turned into a country court. During the seventies, it became the site for the “Arte Europa” gallery. In the meantime, a well thought out restoration project of the complex began, aimed at joining past and present to emphasize the history and elegance of this ancient Convent of Armed Cavaliers.
In the nineties, the great vineyard of the court was transformed into a golf course, and in the old structures of the Tenuta the Hotel, the Conference Room, the Cafeteria, the Restaurant and the Swimming Pool were established. Here, shrouded in an elegant, warm and welcoming atmosphere, Amanda and her staff offer a thorough but informal service, thus making every guest feel at home.
The Tenuta is also an ideal starting point to visit the cities of art such as Parma, Mantova, Verona, Modena, Bologna and Ferrara, cradles of a worldwide famous culinary tradition. Here at the Tenuta Santo Stefano there is always something new to discover.
